The Concept of  BistroTORRENTO The HangOut

My concept of  "BistroTorrento The Hang Out", is dedicated to my late grandfather Municipal Mayor Eugenio Tolosa Torrento Sr. I will exhibit his old pictures to show his achievements, humanity, humbleness and simplicity to the people and to the town of Tigbauan. It's a small gallery of my grandfather, former Municipal Mayor Eugenio Tolosa Torrento Sr., when General Douglas McArthur landed in the barrio of Parara, Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines to liberate Panay and Romblon. He dined with his troops in my grandfather's residence for two times in the history of Tigbauan and the Philippines. It will show to the new generation how Tigbaueños served their cuisines, culture and hospitality to the heroic American and Filipino soldiers during World War II. My grandfather is a leader of  the guerrillas during the second World War. He served for more than half a century in our town as a public servant. He died in active service as incumbent Mayor of the Municipal  of Tigbauan in March, 1982. For us, as "TORRENTO" his family he is our local hero of our town.
