Native chicken binakol is one of the pre-war cooking method of Tigbauanon and Ilonggos. Different from Tagalog chicken binakol. Chicken binakol of Tagalog is cooked as a soup, in Tigbauan they cooked it as a main course. It is steamed inside the fresh green bamboo, and served with steamed red rice cooked inside the fresh green bamboo too. This is a survival technique of cooking during the war by Tigbauanon and Ilonggos.
